Cooking With Claire: Let’s Make An Arizona Cheese Crisp!

Cooking With Claire: Part 1, Let’s Make a Cheese Crisp!

Welcome to a new summer series, where Claire (age 5) will guide you through how to make special Arizona snacks and meals!

What is a cheese crisp? It is an open-faced dish consisting of a flour tortilla topped with shredded cheese. Unlike a quesadilla, a cheese crisp is not folded and is baked until the tortilla achieves a crispy texture.

Here are the instructions:
1. You’ll need cheese, butter, and tortillas.
2. Preheat the oven to 410 degrees.
3. Put two tortillas on the pan. Spread butter generously on the tortilla.
4. Put the tortillas in the oven for 5 min.
5. Take out and sprinkle generously with shredded cheese!
6. Eat some cheese.
7. Put back in the oven for 10 min.
8. Take out and let cool for 1 min, then cut and enjoy!
