We stumbled across Trailside Point Park in Laveen while on an adventure in the area. The park includes a great playground, a splash pad, a lake, and lots of greenery as well.
Splash Pad
This simple splash pad has lots of fountains coming up from the ground, spray gun, and four buckets that dump water frequently. There are places to sit directly next to the pad, however, there is no shade. When we were there, the whole park was wet, possible irrigation, and there wasn’t a great place to set up our pop up shade canopy, but an umbrella or even chairs on the edge where you can get a little mist of water on you makes it bearable for adults. I cooled off by running through numerous times.
Playground
There is one large shade structure over this sand playground. We played a few minutes while drying off after playing in the splash pad. There are monkey bars, a rock-climbing wall, slides all in a big structure for climbing. There are two toddler and two big kid swings that are not in the shade. The kid’s favorite part? Driving the car in front.
Picnic
There is a ramada and grill on the lake. There is a gate up along the length of the ramada, however, steps away there is direct access to the lake.
Park
The amenities at Trailside Point Park in Laveen include two lighted basketball courts, lighted sand volleyball, ramada, restrooms, splash pad, playground, and lake.
Getting There
There is plenty of parking in the parking lot directly on Vineyard Rd. The parking is not near the playground or splash pad, so you will want to bring everything along with you.

Thank you for sharing this gem. I am going to have to add it to the list of parks to take the family. I love that there is something for all. The picturesque setting is great for a simple walk around the park, basketball for the older kids, playground for the younger kids, and a perfect picnic spot to fuel up with some food. Although the splash pad is not very large, it gets that job done. Looking forward to checking this place out.
