Shoshone Park in Scottsdale is the third playground in the McCormick Park area to be renovated, and we are happy to have it added to the other two renovated playgrounds nearby!
We often love exploring around the walking paths, going from playground to playground to play and collect nature, and then using our findings for preschool or play. Sometimes we pick flowers to bring to friends, we always collect pine cones and sticks to play with while we are there and sometimes they make it home with us.
Playground
The 2021 remodel added wood chips, a large climbing structure with lots of great details like games, slides, stairs, climbing, two big kid, and one baby swing. There’s a spinning ride my kids call “the spinning Christmas tree” and kept going back and forth between “faster, faster, and slow down” loving each ride. Park
Shoshone Park in Scottsdale is a 3-acre park that features a playground, drop-in ramada, lighted basketball court, walking path and there are no restrooms. The park’s amenities are first come first serve. If you are planning on having a catered event, inflatables, or any specialty item they ask that you call the facility in advance to verify the company’s insurance information.
Picnic
There is a small covered ramada, one picnic table next to the playground, and lots of shade trees for picnics in the grass.
Getting There
GPS will take you to a dead-end street where there is room for cars to park.
