Playdate for Kids Playground is a new indoor play center, located in the Desert Sky Mall in Phoenix. It’s a small but cute place to let the kiddos use their imagination in a safe setting.
The setup offers little pockets of pretend play, like kitchens and a diner, an ice cream cart, and a mini grocery store. There is also a play house and some mini cars to ride. The kids loved these the most! Building blocks were also a favorite. We built several towers (which the baby promptly knocked down).
Along one wall are shelves with various toys. We found puzzles, toy cars, dress up items and more! There was one of those puzzles with various locks too, which is always a hit. The variety was nice. The kids gravitated towards the play kitchen and diner the most.
We also loved the small trampoline! What kid doesn’t love to bounce? It was the perfect size for the age range.
There are three couches for adults to sit and watch their children, two near the front and one in the back. But you can almost see your children at all times from any spot.
There is a restroom in the back, as well as a diaper changing table. Loved that they were separate. Sometimes you just need a quick change! Food and drink are not allowed in the play area. There is Keurig type coffee available for $2.
The Playdate for Kids indoor playground welcomes children ages 0-10 to play. (While our 8 year old enjoyed her time with her siblings, we felt this place was more inviting to ages 7 and under.) Socks are required for all. Hours are 10am – 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11am – 6pm on Sunday. Sometimes they are closed to the public for parties, so it’s worth a check on social media before visiting, or give them a call. You can find them in the mall by Victoria’s Secret.
Prices are as follows:
- $5/child for 1hr of play
- $8/child for 2hrs of play
- Siblings under 9 months are free
- 5 punch passes are available, starting at $30
- Monthly Memberships are available, starting at $45
