Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona

I stumbled across this photo today, and had to share it on here since it’s a photo of me when I was about 15 years old (around 1995). This photo is of me in front of the SR-71 Blackbird airplane at the Pima Air & Space Museum, in Tucson.

I know it’s a bit of a drive, but it’s an absolutely awesome place to take the kids to Tucson. It takes about 2 hours to get to Tucson, and a little more to the museum, but it is well worth it. This is probably an activity best suited to older kids since they’ll enjoy seeing old airplanes more.

And, this is probably best for early morning in the summer or any time in the winter. The airplanes are mostly outdoors, although they have an excellent indoor museum holding many of them.
