Peach picking in Phoenix – it’s peach season in Phoenix! Yes, Phoenix (not Georgia), and there are some great options for u-pick or pick up.
May and June are typically the top months for peaches, but they can extend into July depending on the farm location. This blog post covers mainly Phoenix area farms offering seasonal peaches, and a couple of locations around Arizona.
Today we explored at J&J Poms Farm in Waddell for peach picking! The owners, Jim and Joyce, were so sweet and welcomed us to their little farm, with two modest rows of peach trees, plus gave us a tour of their chickens, cows, and ducks. Parking can be found in their driveway or in a parking area before you reach the house. They ask that you sign in (name and phone number, etc), wash your hands before picking, wear close-toed shoes, and pay with cash only (small bills very appreciated).
The peaches? They. Are. Amazing. Seriously – so juicy and perfect! We ate a couple as we picked, and came home with a medium pallet full! This is such a unique opportunity in Phoenix, the kids will love exploring the grove and finding peaches. Picking is open tomorrow at J&J Poms, May 22nd, 8 am-12 pm.
