Paseo Highlands Park in Phoenix has a nice playground, as well as numerous amenities for the community. We stopped by with some friends for a play date. The kids especially loved the huge climbing wall!
There are two playgrounds, a toddler and big kid sized set, both with slides and other climbing fun. There are a few steps on the bigger set that caused a few tumbles; it looks like the steps are just spaced further than one might expect, but still watch out for those. Otherwise, the kids enjoyed the monkey bars and curly slide the most.
There are 2 baby swings by the toddler set, 2 big kid swings on the other end of the playground, and the climbing wall is here as well. The walls varied in shape and grips, which made it good for multiple ages. Our kids made it to the top after a few tries!
This is a sand based playground as well, with partially shaded areas. A couple benches for seating dot the walkway. We also had our lunch along the concrete wall near the playground.
While this playground isn’t particularly amazing, it was fun to find a new place to play, and a good option if you’re in the area. The sport fields and courts would appeal to older kids as well.
Paseo Highlands Park in Phoenix also offers basketball courts, tennis courts, a volleyball sand pit, sport fields, and a large community center. Restrooms are between the playground and the sport fields (and have doors on the stalls, which often seems rare for City of Phoenix parks). There are two parking lots on either side of the community center. Ramadas with picnic tables can be found near the playground
