New Years Eve Activities

I love the thought of spending time with my kids to celebrate New Years Eve. Seeing the joy of the countdown, sipping bubbly cider, games, dressing up, all kinds of fun! These days I may not be able to stay awake till midnight, so we will be doing Noon Years Eve. Here are some at home celebration ideas.
Noon Years Eve at home – Throw a 12 o clock party! Drink sparkling apple cider, make snacks, noise makers, glow sticks, hats, write down goals, sing songs. You can even close the curtains a few minutes before noon to make it dark!
Photo Booth – create a photo booth with props and take silly selfies or set up a tripod to film it! You can find cheap photo props at the Dollar Store and all kinds of places. Something sparkly for the backdrop adds some bling.
Dress Up – Dress up in your finest and dance around the house!
Noise Makers – whether you buy them or make them, make it loud!
Mocktails – Make a fancy drink for your kids and toast to the new year! Cotton Candy and carbonated water makes a fun and fascinating dissolving drink.

Balloon Clock – Blow up balloons and make your own clock. You can pop the balloons to count down the hours, the minutes, depending on the age of your kids.
Scavenger hunt – Hide new years themed items, or anything, around your house and make a list for the kids to find. Or go online and find a NYE themed one.
Resolutions – Write down your resolutions. You can share them, put them in a jar to read the next year, keep them hidden. So many things to do. This was one of my favorite traditions with my cousins growing up.
Bake – Cakes, cookies in the shape of numbers, cupcakes.
Wishes Wall – Use post its and stick them to the wall to create wishes and dreams for the upcoming year.
Celebrate with a different country – You can choose any country that celebrates during your kids waking hours! Decorations, food and music all to make it feel more authentic.
Games – Minute to win it games, board games, would you rather flash cards. Go online to print NYE Bingo
