Longview Park in Phoenix

Longview Park in Phoenix is a great addition to the city’s centrally-located playgrounds list with a little bit of everything for kids of all ages.

Longview Park in Phoenix is a great addition to the city’s centrally-located playgrounds list with a little bit of everything for kids of all ages.

The wood chip playground not does not have much shade. There are 3 shades over the playgrounds, but it did not provide much shade. I actually camped out in the wood chips in the middle where there was some shade.

There is a toddler climbing structure with slides and a smaller climbing structure. There are 2 big kid and 2 toddler swings that are not in the shade.

There is a big slide and lots of options for climbing on the big kid side. One thing I enjoyed about this park was that it has a lot of climbing options to keep bigger kids interested. Also, it is located in the center of town which is nice for meeting up.

Picnic

There are 3 shaded picnic tables on one end of the park.  There are a few benches that are not shaded around the park.

Park

Longview Park in Phoenix opened in 2020, is lighted, and features a swing set and play and climbing structures. The play amenities are covered by three-shade canopies. Along with the addition of the playground, 2020 park upgrades included a new ramada with picnic tables and a perimeter sidewalk with benches and a drinking fountain. Longview Neighborhood Recreation Center is located just East of the playground. For classes and information click here.
