Have you been north to the famous Horseshoe Bend with kids? We visited for the first time this spring!

This iconic viewpoint gives you a sweeping view of unique rock formations and the Colorado River which, per the name, resembles a horseshoe! It was so beautiful. Plenty of picture ops – just watch where you stand! There is a viewpoint with a railing, but it’s small and many choose to go on either side for better photos.

And honestly, beyond that, there was not much at this location. The walk to the bend took about 15 minutes on a hard-packed gravel path (good for strollers). We took a lunch break back at the car afterward.

Is it worth a stop? Yes! Just keep an eye on your kiddos of course, and there is a couple of fun climbing rocks away from the steep ledge. Pair this stop with other fun places in Page for a great day!

The chance to visit Horseshoe Bend with kids is available year-round, sunrise to sunset. Admission is $10/car, and there is plenty of parking plus restrooms (vault toilets). Total miles was 1.5 miles to the bend, in and out. There is no shade except for a couple of shade structures along the path, and note that it can get very windy, kicking up dirt and sand.
