Holiday Lights at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale

There’s another NEW light show in town this season – Holiday Lights at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale is a 1.2 mile drive-thru featuring 5 million lights!

The Salt River Fields area boasts many amenities and now it offers a holiday themed light show. We should say right off that this is NOT synchronized to music; that was honestly disappointing, and made the drive tame in comparison to other shows we’ve experienced. It’s like a glorified neighborhood drive with familiar Christmas music playing from the stereo. So have that in mind if you want to visit. This will not wow you like World of Illumination shows. That said….

But we saw some features that aren’t in other light shows (like the star tunnel – that was cool), and oversized lite up ornaments, Christmas trees, familiar objects like teddy bears and cupcakes, and more. (Look for the creepy eyes too.) Plus there was Santa Clause to briefly chat with the kids! The tour took us about 20 min, and there was no wait, but that could change closer to Christmas. Thank you Holiday Lights at Salt River Fields for having us!

Holiday Lights runs now through December 31, 2020, 6-9pm. Tickets are per car (up to 8 people), starting at $35.99 M-TH, or $45.99 F-Sun, and there are special extras like a carriage ride (starting at $300). Yes, this is on the higher end of light show prices. The code HOLIDAY5 will help bring down the price a bit. Bring friends and split the price! It’s a good social distance option this season.
