  • all show times start at 9:45 am and it is open seating. We recommend arriving 15-20 min early.
  • you will choose the same day of the week, as well as the same theatre all summer to see the movie. We find that Tuesdays-Thursdays aren’t as busy as Mondays or Fridays. But ask for an opinion at the front desk of your preferred theatre.
  • if you have an extra guest come along, or want to show up the day of, you pay only pay $2 per movie (assuming the show is not sold out. We’ve never had this issue).
  • children 2 and under are free! They will need to lap-sit if the theatre is full.

We have done the Harkins summer movie series in the past and loved adding this weekly event to our summer days!! The price can’t be beat, and the setting is extremely kid friendly for little ones who might talk or need to wiggle on occasion. (That said, please be considerate and take your child out for a break if they become too loud.) Even if you’re only able to show up for 3-4 movies, it’s worth the cost. You’ll see all ages of kids enjoying the shows along with parents, grandparents, and caregivers.

  1. I did this with my own children starting 20 years ago, and continued as they were growing up. They’re all adults now, but we’ve decided to do it again this year, for nostalgia. Harkens Summer Movie Program provided some of the best memories from their childhood, and we looked forward to going every week! So glad it’s still available so I can someday continue the tradition with my grandkids!
