Halloween Spook-Track-ula in Scottsdale is a family friendly spooky event at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, and we took a morning to see the decor and set up!

You’ll see a little bit of everything from aliens to creepy clowns on the train ride. There are also some photo ops to enjoy. Keep in mind that the official event takes place in the evening, so there will be things glowing, and a light tunnel.

Our kids weren’t crazy about the decor, but we’re not huge in to Halloween. Everything is tame compared to other Halloween scary events, but a few things may frighten young kids. We suggest visiting during the day to take a look, and then deciding if a night time ride is of interest.

You can get a glimpse of more of the decor by viewing this reel on Instagram.

Halloween Spook-Track-ula runs October 7 – 31, 2022, from 6- 9:30pm. Cost is $15 per person, with tickets at $10 weeknights at 8pm, and members get 50% off. Kids 2 and under are free. Tickets are for a 1.5 hour time slot and allow unlimited train and carousel rides, a meet and greet with Bones the Engineer, with ood and drinks available for purchase in Hartley’s General Store. The Model Railroad Building will be open for viewing.

The McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is located at 7301 E Indian Bend Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85250. More info can be found on their website.

Note that the park, including the playground and model railroad building and museum are open regular hours until the event time! Visiting during the day is a good option for kiddos who might be scared during the evening event. Ticketing for the train and carousel are $3/each.

Dozens of other Halloween and fall events can be found on the blog!
