Grayhawk Park in Scottsdale has a lot of amenities, including great sports fields and lots of space to play. The playground is outdated and run down, definitely in need of some love, but if you are looking for places to play sports and run around, it works.
Playground
This sand playground is in need of some love for sure. There is no shade, the structure is rusted, old and small. There are two low toddler swings, a couple slides and a few climbing bars. I would not make this a destination playground by any means. City run Thompson Peak is just down the road and if you live in Grayhawk, stick to the private community playgrounds in my opinion. However, if you have a kid who loves mud, there is a great little shaded area that has sand, water and a mud table. I can see this being hours of entertainment!
Park
Grayhawk Park in Scottsdale is a 13 acre park featuring a playground, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts , baseball fields, basketball courts and restrooms. There is also a little paved walking path that would be great for a short stroller stroll. The park is amenities are first come first serve. If you are planning on having a catered event, inflatables or any specialty item they ask that you call the facility in advance to verify the company’s insurance information.
Picnic
One drop in ramada available for reservations. It is located in the middle of the park. Not the best location for keeping an eye on kids while they play or even spreading out much. There were a couple picnic tables throughout the park.
