Family Fun in the Pool with Skip nn’ Hole
We’re huge pool fans during the summer – and let’s face it, summer is about half the year here in Phoenix! Swimming, diving, chicken fights, and creative play time fill our hours nicely. By mid-August, however, our pool time always needs a boost. Enter the new game, Skip nn’ Hole!
Skip nn’ Hole brings the familiar concept of skipping rocks, and cornhole, right to your backyard. Local entrepreneur Jaron Lodge designed a game the whole family will love. A typical game of Skip nn’ Hole consists of two teams of two, but can be played with 1–4 players. Blue team skips on the side with the blue water bags and vise versa. The score for each round is determined by the difference between team totals for the round. Play to 11 or 21 points.
We’ve been following the development of Skip nn’ Hole and love the idea! It’s especially cool to note that Jaron sought developmental assistance from stone skipper Kurt Steiner, a Guinness World record holder of stone skipping. Someone who can do an impressive 88 consecutive skips probably knows a thing or two about what makes the best shape and design for this game!
Another plus about Skip nn’ Hole is its portability. Take it a friend’s pool! Or even the lake or river. Set up takes only 3-5 minutes. Everything folds down to a breathable travel bag that takes little storage space. The stonnes themselves are not heavy, but rather soft, high density foam. And they float!
Skip nn’ Hole is going live for pre-orders on Kickstarter next week, July 7, 2020. By signing up NOW, you’ll get access to a 50% off code. Visit https://www.skipnnhole.com to learn more. Don’t miss the demo video as well. Our kids watched this and immediately exclaimed how fun it looked! We’re excited to add this to our yearly summer water fun.
