We had Bubble Truck come out for our 9 year old’s birthday party. And we kept it a surprise! So when the girls all came out of the garage, their reaction to the already growing bubble mounds was priceless. They hesitated at first, not sure what they were seeing – then ran in giggling and laughing!

The hour long party consisted of alternating games and free play. The kids were divided in to two teams, and games varied from find the beanbag in the bubbles, to who can get the most color on their team in 3 seconds, and hiding in the bubbles. The Bubblemaster was funny and good with the kids. He kept the party going, complete with kid friendly music. Watch out for random color powder throws too!

As one of our party guests yelled, “This is the best birthday party I’ve ever been to!” We had ages 19 months to almost 70 at the party and everyone loved it!

What we loved too was that the bubbles did not leave behind a soapy residue. If you enjoyed the bubble foam experience in the past at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, you may recall how skin sometimes felt sticky afterwards. This was not the case with the Bubble Truck! It was almost like a spa experience; the bubbles would stay on your body for a few minutes, then slowly disappear with one residue. The color powder also washed off easily from clothing and skin, and did not stain. We did have to scrub some scalps that evening, but it was nothing serious and left no marks.

A few tips for your Bubble Truck party experience:

  • we had goggles and towels on hand for those who needed them (and you will need the towels)
  • some girls had shoes (flip flops), but since the pavement was not hot or slippery, they quickly came off; still good to have kids bring some type of shoes that can get wet
  • watch little ones in the bubbles; our 19 month got buried a few times! She cried a bit, then went right back in.
  • Bubble Truck recommends white T-shirt’s to show the color best; our group just wore swim suits/regular clothes

Bubble Truck Parties in Phoenix services most of the Phoenix Metro area! A weekday party (Mon-Thurs) runs $150 for an hour party; a weekend party (Fri-Sun) runs $240 for a weekend party. Visit their website for more details! They also have other locations across the country, such as Texas and Florida.
