Andie’s Coffee and Splashpad

When we got wind of a new coffee shop opening in Scottsdale, it was a must check out for our family. But it also had a splashpad? This made it even better!

Andie’s Coffee is on the Chaparral Church Campus, located at Shea and 64th. It’s tucked away in a courtyard, so you don’t get the road noise and busyness. We visited on a week day, in the early afternoon, and had maybe 5 other people pass thru during our 2hr stay.

The coffee shop itself has plenty of table sitting and comfy couches, perfect for meeting friends. There is also some outdoor seating. The decor is beautiful. We ordered an iced Americano, a kids strawberry smoothie, and a bagel. All were delicious! We didn’t hang out much in the shop, opting for the beautiful outdoors instead. (Restrooms are located just past the counter, on the right.)

The splashpad is about 12×12 feet, with around 16 fountains. Our kids had a blast! There we’re several settings for the fountains, their favorite being the constant waist high stream (similar to the splashpad at Tempe Marketplace). There are half a dozen chairs scattered around, and always shade available.

This is a (yet) undiscovered gem that would be perfect for play dates! We made new friends, stayed cool, and enjoyed the snack. We will definitely be returning all summer. The laid back atmosphere is a nice change from other splashpads.
