Driving by I saw a fire truck and turned around so we could see it. There is a zip line, rock wall, slide, bridge, tire swing, ride ons and best of all, a fire truck. What kid wouldn’t love to play on a firetruck? The play equipment is new and colorful!

The Riparian Preserve in Gilbert is a 110 acre wetland and wildlife sanctuary that is free to the public, and a nature oasis for anyone wanting to get away from city life! With 7 ponds (some are not always full however), flat hiking trails, a fishing lake, children’s play areas, an observatory and more, this is a must visit stop in the East Valley.

Altitude Trampoline Park opened recently in Gilbert! It’s a high energy spot with a little of everything. There is a main court and kids court all in over 35,000 square feet. The kids and adults that went with us had so much fun bouncing all around the facility! Activities include a zip line where you can ride as long as you can hold on or jump into the foam pit. There are monkey bars, and an extreme dodge ball court (where you don’t have to chase the balls, they stay in the room!). Here’s what you will find at Altitude Trampoline Park in Gilbert:

Freestone Park in Gilbert

Freestone Park was Gilbert’s first major park opening in 1988. Additional acrage has been added over time and they keep adding and improving on this amazing facility. This park also hosts the “Freestone Railroad” which has a miniature train, antique carousel, mini ferris wheel, wave runner and more.

Today, my son and I visited the grand opening of the new Gilbert Regional Park. This park includes a large, multi-area playground and a huge splash pad, all surrounded by ramadas that are perfect for parties and gatherings. With the beautiful upcoming Arizona fall and winter just around the corner, a new park is absolutely perfect! This is an excellent addition to the East Valley (especially those who live in East Mesa, Gilbert, or Queen Creek), but if you are more centrally located, it is still worth the drive.
